Say hello to the giggling teenagers girls of the Happy Home (part 3)

Today you get to meet four beautiful and clever young teenagers; Chiring, Alina, Sena and Sarita. They are brilliant at dancing and singing, whenever possible they borrow my phone to look up music and dance routines on You Tube.  Like all teenagers they love to dress up, fix their hair and pose for photos.

One evening, I found them giggling away together whilst outside brushing their teeth by the water pump. When I asked what it was about they explained that it was Valentines day in a few days and before then it was kissing day, which caused them all to burst out laughing again. Of course they said there weren’t any boys they fancied!

But as well as a lot of fun these girls are also studious, most evenings they have their heads down doing their homework and the are very hardworking too, they will be out there at 6.30 each morning tending the fire for the cow’s feed and if they get there before me, cleaning out the cow and buffalo shed.

SINA

Sina the singer is bubbly and outgoing, she has a very animated face and a beautiful voice.  She is always walking around singing or spending time learning new songs. She is full of energy and you can usually be found in a huddle with the others girls or practicing the next dance routine.

She is also very clever and top in her class of 49 other students, between her and Sarita they have had the top spot on the last few exam results.

Sarita loves cooking and is quite often in the kitchen with Basanti.  She speaks excellent English and works very hard at her schoolwork, spending hours reading out loud to herself.  Her hard work pays off, she is currently second in her class, next to Sena.  I’ve heard her telling off some of the younger girls for not studying hard enough.  She is ambitious and I’m sure will achieve her goals.

All of the girls have beautiful long hair, but Sarita’s is probably the thickest and most luxurious hair I’ve ever seen.

Sarita is from one of the lower caste families in Golgun in Langtang.  Her mother works in the village amongst the women’s group as a social health worker.  She has a brother and two sisters.  Her mother is unable to provide for all her children, and also knew that she would get a better quality of education at the Happy Home.

Favourite colour is purple.
She is 13 years old and her birthday is on the 1st of March.
Her favourite animal is an elephant.
She loves to play basketball.
When she grows up she wants to work in business.
Her favourite food is chocolate.

If she could have a super power it would to be invisible.
